Strong word, but I did have one today. During such tumultuous times like we are currently living, it looks like companies are going insane as we see layoffs here and product launch cancellations there not to mention marketing and advertising budget cuts.

Humans are the ones who reach for that panic button and not companies. Human mind sees the trouble and reverts to the most primal instinct - famine insight, eat tight. Clever company might want to consider the possibility of doing business as usual, anyway these slumps usually last 12-18 months, any solid company should be able to withstand that and expand while others are shrinking. People like to buy from the winner and now is the best time to be one as others are getting cold feet.
